What does "Bring Your Own Key" mean?
You sign up on OpenRouter (or OpenAI / Anthropic), generate an API key, and paste it in SeoFreshUp settings. The plugin uses your key to call AI models. You pay AI providers directly — typical cost is $0.001-0.005 per article analyzed, $0.04 per AI image generated. No SaaS markup from us.
Will the rewrite break my SEO?
The opposite — SeoFreshUp is designed to preserve what already ranks. Existing internal links, images, commercial CTAs, structured data and outbound references are kept verbatim on rewrite. The plugin also auto-saves a 301 redirect if a slug changes during rewrite, and creates a draft version by default so you can review before publishing.
Does it work with my SEO plugin (Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress)?
Yes. SeoFreshUp auto-detects the active SEO plugin and writes the rewritten meta description into the right field for each (Yoast, Rank Math, or SEOPress).
Is my content sent to your servers?
No. Content goes from your WordPress server directly to the AI provider you configured (OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic). Our servers only handle license activation/validation. Plugin code is open and auditable in your wp-content/plugins/ folder.
