Installation

Installing SeoFreshUp takes about 2 minutes. You’ll need a WordPress 5.6+ site with PHP 8.0+, an admin account, and your purchase confirmation email from Lemon Squeezy.

Step 1 — Get the plugin zip

After your purchase on seofreshup.com/pricing.html, Lemon Squeezy sends an email with:

• Your license key (looks like fc-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX)
• A signed download link for the plugin zip (valid for several days)

Click the download link and save seofreshup-X.Y.Z.zip somewhere on your computer. The link can be re-used from your customer portal at customer.lemonsqueezy.com anytime.

Step 2 — Upload the plugin to WordPress

1. Log in to your WordPress admin at yourblog.com/wp-admin
2. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin
3. Click Choose File, select the zip you downloaded, click Install Now
4. Wait ~5 seconds for the upload + extraction to complete
5. Click Activate Plugin

You’ll now see a new entry in your admin sidebar: 🌿 SeoFreshUp.

Step 3 — Activate your license

1. In your admin, go to 🌿 SeoFreshUp → Settings → License
2. Paste your license key in the field
3. Click Activate

You should see a green confirmation: “License active — valid until [renewal date]”. AI features (audit, rewrite, image generation) are now unlocked.

Step 4 — Add your AI API key (Bring Your Own Key)

SeoFreshUp uses your own AI provider account to keep costs transparent. The recommended provider is OpenRouter, which gives access to Claude, GPT, Gemini, Llama and more through a single key.

Verifying the install

Once steps 1–4 are done, visit 🌿 SeoFreshUp → Settings → Requirements. Every check should be green:

• ✅ PHP version
• ✅ WordPress version
• ✅ Memory limit
• ✅ License active
• ✅ OpenRouter API reachable
• ✅ Firecrawl API reachable (optional, only for URL enrichment)

Updating the plugin

When a new version of SeoFreshUp is released, WordPress will show you the standard “Update available” notification (the plugin checks Lemon Squeezy daily). Click Update and you’re done — your settings, license, and stored data are preserved.

Uninstalling

Going to Plugins → Installed Plugins and clicking Deactivate → Delete removes the plugin code. By default, your stored data (audit results, queues, AI verdicts on posts) is preserved so you can reinstall later without losing anything. To wipe everything, check the option “Delete all stored data” in 🌿 SeoFreshUp → Settings → Advanced before deactivating.
